Divino Wines & Spirits on South Broadway in Denver is throwing its annual celebration of Spring at their Planet Pink Party, on Wed, May 30th, 2012. The event showcases 75 rose’ wines from many different regions of the world such as France, Italy and of course, the U.S.A.
Attendees of this event go all out to show their love of the pink by dressing in pink attire and costumes from pink bathrobes, pink socks/underwear combos, and even pink balloons masquerading as pink grapes. As the owner, Dave, reminds us “No pink, no drink.” Don’t miss this outrageously fun event. You’ll need a ticket to get in, so stop by their store soon to score yours. We hear they go wickedly quick.
Divino Wines & Spirits is a local Denver wine store located on South Broadway near the Platt Park neighborhood. They also host monthly wine tastings, so sign up for their email list to be notified of the dates. The store’s extensive collection runs the full gamut of price ranges and countries. Find their store at 1240 S Broadway, Denver.
The Denver Platt Park neighborhood is an up and coming area with a wide diversity of 80210 homes for sale.

Pack your wine and lawn chair and spend your summer evenings in Denver enjoying one of the 15 outdoor concerts in the Congress Park neighborhood. The concerts I’m speaking about are held at the Denver Botanic Gardens on their sunken amphitheater lawn. It’s a truly breathtaking venue surrounded by summer blossoms. The acoustics are impeccable and create crystal clear music for these evening performances.
Just a sampling of headliners include The B-52s, Natalie Merchant, and Wynonna & The Big Noise. Tickets started selling May 1, 2012. Be sure to get your tickets in advance as there are already two concerts that are sold out.
Here are my tips for the best outdoor concert experience at the York Street Denver Botanic Gardens. Bring a lawn chair not exceeding 26 inches high, sunglasses, a picnic, a plastic garbage bag in case of rain, and a blanket. Leave your animals and camera at home–they are prohibited. Seating is general admission, so arrive early to get the best seat.
The Denver Botanic Gardens is located between Cheesman Park and Congress Park in central Denver near E 11th Ave & York Street. This is a historic neighborhood filled with antique mansions and breathtaking architecture.
